"Seriously? It's over? That's it?!"

I recently got through the first two seasons of Party Down, sickness the Starz comedy show about wannabe actors working at a catering company in L.A. It was amazing! Then I learned that it was cancelled last year.

“Huh? Cancelled? But, otolaryngologist Craig, you said it was amazing!”

That’s right, it was amazing, which is why I can’t understand why Starz cancelled this fresh and funny show after only two short seasons. I mean this is smart comedy that had me laughing until I cried. You’ve got an amazing cast featuring Lizzy Caplan, Adam Scott, Martin Starr, Megan Mullally, director Fred Savage and wicked scripts with producers like Paul Rudd behind it all and you cancel the show?! I just don’t get network television!

“Freaks and Geeks”, “Better Off Ted”, “Arrested Development”, etc… break new ground and offer worthwhile television, and then a bunch of number crunching douche bags in an executive boardroom decide to cancel these, the brightest, most heart-felt, meaningful shows in the last 20 years! C’mon man! Whatever happened to creating great art and entertainment?!?!

…phewww…ok…I’m done my rant. Thank you for indulging me. We now return to our regular scheduled programming.
